The Trauma and Orthopaedic Department is looking for a full‑time Band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator on a 12‑month secondment starting late April 2026. The role is part of a team of 28 administrators supporting 24 Orthopaedic Consultants and clinical teams, with a focus on reducing waiting times for surgery and achieving government treatment time targets.
Core Responsibilities
The position involves:
* Managing patient pathways, outpatient clinics, waiting lists and booking of surgery.
* Supporting the whole administrative team, consultants and trauma service.
* Performing other administrative tasks as required.
We seek a team player with good communication, excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* Educated to A-level, or NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration/Customer Care or equivalent experience.
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A‑C.
* Computer literate; experience of full range of IT systems and patient data systems.
Experience

* Experience of using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
* Experience of scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions.
