Overview
Here at JN Bentley we are looking for an enthusiastic and positive Lead Hand/Ganger to lead a groundworks gang in the Newbury area and across the region. The role reports to Site Management and involves leading a gang on various construction sites, predominantly within the water industry.
Responsibilities
You will bring a proactive attitude towards work and health and safety, with ideally experience in the water industry and general civil works, concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying. You will manage a gang on civil projects, maintain high health and safety standards and support a reporting culture.
Candidate Specification
* Experience managing a gang working on civils projects.
* Experienced, skilled and general operative ready‑made gang.
* Positive attitude towards work, maintaining high health and safety standards.
* Current CSCS, CPCS / NOCN or NPORS with NVQ and plant tickets.
* Site Supervisor or Site Management training.
* Full UK driving licence.

* Slinger / Signaller or Crane Lift Supervisor.

* Three‑day First Aid.
