The Role: You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred services for children and young people who are looked after by the local authority. Working in line with social care legislation and guided by the values of dignity, empowerment, and inclusion, you’ll:
* Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored care plans
* Support children through care proceedings and permanency planning
* Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency professionals
* Make informed decisions on the most appropriate interventions
* Help children thrive in safe, stable and nurturing environments
What We’re Looking For: We're seeking a proactive, empathetic professional who is:
* Registered with Social Work England
* Experienced in working with children and families, including those in vulnerable circumstances
* Skilled in Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), pre-proceedings and court work
* Confident in conducting Child & Family Assessments with strong analysis and planning
* Knowledgeable of safeguarding legislation and current best practices
* Able to build strong, trust-based relationships with children and families
* Creative, flexible, and solution-focused in your approach
* Committed to continuous learning and development
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Manage a defined caseload of children looked after
* Complete robust assessments of risk and care needs
* Develop and review personalised care and permanency plans
* Use clear, compassionate communication to engage children and families
* Work alongside multi-agency partners to ensure joined-up, holistic support
