WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT Central to Operations Youll sit at the heart of Operations, acting as the link between production, supply, finance, ecommerce, commercial, and dispatch making sure everyone is working to the same clear plan. High Impact & Visibility Youll own and integrate production planning, material readiness, and logistics coordination so the factory always has the right materials, in the right place, at the right time, and orders leave on time. Operational Ownership From production schedules and capacity modelling through to inbound containers and outbound courier/pallet planning, this role covers the full manufacturing and logistics cycle. WHAT YOULL BE DOING Production Planning & Scheduling Build, maintain, and communicate daily and weekly production plans across all lines. Translate forecasts, sales orders, and campaign uplift into clear, executable schedules within the ERP system. Balance labour, capacity, and materials to maximise throughput and achieve OTIF targets. Lead daily production handovers, ensuring clarity on priorities, risks, and constraints. Material Readiness & Inventory Coordination Own the material readiness view over a 26 week horizon. Work with Supply & Logistics to ensure zero downtime from material shortages. Validate stock levels, highlight risks early, and support decisions on safety stocks and priorities. Support container arrivals, including booking, prioritisation, and put-away to keep stock flowing smoothly. Logistics Planning (Inbound & Outbound) Coordinate inbound deliveries in line with the production plan and warehouse capacity. Plan for Cat A containers, labour, shunts, and storage so goods are processed efficiently. Align finished goods availability with courier and pallet schedules for trade and ecommerce orders. Monitor transport performance, resolve delivery issues, and feed logistics constraints back into production plans. Labour & Capacity Planning Model weekly capacity by line and product family. Align headcount, shift patterns, and overtime with production priorities and peak weeks. Support labour allocation decisions with clear data on demand, capacity, and utilisation. KPI Tracking & Continuous Improvement Own weekly reporting on plan accuracy, material readiness, OTIF, logistics flow, utilisation, yield/FPY, and waste. Use data to drive corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Maintain planning and logistics documentation, ensuring processes are clear, repeatable, and scalable. Cross-Team Collaboration Work closely with Supply, Finance, Ecommerce, Commercial, and Dispatch to ensure smooth end-to-end flow. Provide clear, proactive communication on changes, risks, and opportunities across the operation. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE No surprises materials, schedules, and logistics are aligned and visible. Zero downtime from avoidable material shortages. Production and dispatch aligned with 95% OTIF performance. Containers and inbound loads processed efficiently and on plan. Full visibility of capacity, risks, and constraints, with clear actions in place. WHAT YOULL BRING Experience in planning, logistics, or manufacturing operations (typically 3 years in a production planning or manufacturing coordination role). Proven success improving planning accuracy, material flow, and delivery/OTIF performance. Experience coordinating transport and logistics with multiple carriers or pallet networks. Strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills; confident interpreting and communicating data to different audiences. Highly organised, calm under pressure, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A clear, confident communicator able to work effectively across the shop floor, operations, and leadership teams.
