About the Role

This innovative role as an AI Trainer - Chemistry offers a unique opportunity to leverage your subject-matter expertise and develop your AI skills. You will play a pivotal role in training AI models, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of Chemistry content generated by AI. The position offers flexible scheduling, and your contributions will directly impact the advancement of AI in Chemistry.
Your Day-to-Day
* Educate AI: Analyze and provide feedback on AI-generated outputs related to Chemistry. Your guidance will directly improve the AI's accuracy and ability to apply its knowledge to real-world problems.
* Problem Solving: Using your expertise, provide step-by-step solutions and explanations to complex Chemistry problems, such as balancing chemical equations, identifying reaction mechanisms, solving stoichiometry problems, explaining thermodynamic principles, and analyzing organic chemistry structures. Your input will be crucial in teaching the AI how to reason through these problems effectively.
* Red Teaming: Utilize your deep understanding of the field to identify potential biases, limitations, or inaccuracies in the AI's knowledge base. Design and conduct tests that push the boundaries of the model's understanding, ensuring its outputs are reliable and applicable to real-world scenarios.
* Flexible Scheduling: Create your own working hours based on project needs.
About You
* Enrolled in or have completed an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
* Specialized in Chemistry or related fields such as Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
* Possess strong writing skills with excellent English spelling and grammar.
* Have a critical eye and the ability to clearly articulate strengths and weaknesses of written text.
* Professional writing experience as a researcher, journalist, technical writer, editor, or similar roles.
* Interest in AI and machine learning concepts.
Additional Information
This is a freelance, hourly-paid position. It is not an internship, and candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence; sponsorship is not provided. International students on valid visas may apply, but circumstances should be discussed with an advisor. We cannot provide employment documentation. Compensation rates may vary for non-US locations.
Pay Range: $15 - $150 USD per hour
Work Environment
We support a remote-friendly hybrid model, with a focus on collaboration within our tech hubs in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro Area, and Wrocław, Poland. We encourage asynchronous communication, autonomy, and task ownership, supplemented by hub-based gatherings.
