We are in constant transformation and looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and flexible Paralegal Analyst to join our international Legal Team in London.
What is the Department mandate?
Provide legal support, with the purpose of mitigating risks, in connection with (i) financial transactions originated by the business areas, (ii) analysis and structuring of new products and services, (iii) analysis of corporate projects, and (iv) the activities of the bank in general.
What would be your key responsibilities?
The role will involve assisting members of the Legal Department with their day-to-day work on ongoing transactions and projects as well as carrying out independent tasks on matters such as confidentiality agreements, due-diligences, bilateral and syndicated loans, trade finance, security, guarantees, documentary credits, derivatives, structured products and debt capital markets including:
* Review of documentation (both internally and externally produced)
* Preparing legal inputs for Group-wide projects
* Drafting of documentation
* Preparation of legal research notes and advice e-mails
* Liaising with colleagues internally and, if relevant, external counsel
What are we looking for?
* University degree in Law
* Experience in the London or European market ideally with specific knowledge of financial products
* Ability to contribute to a fast-paced multi-cultural environment; and work efficiently and effectively while under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Fluent English, written and oral essential; other languages (particularly Portuguese, Spanish and/or French) is a plus.
