Location: Railway Court, Omagh. Railway Court is a supported living accommodation providing 24-hour staff support to up to 23 tenants with mild to moderate learning disabilities, 365 days a year, helping tenants develop skills and participate in day-to-day decision making.
Job Title: Support Worker - Learning Disability/Mental Health
Post: Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Part-time/Full-Time for Railway Court
Responsibilities
* Provide care and support to residents with learning disabilities/mental health needs.
* Support residents to develop skills, promote independence and participate in daily activities and decision making.
* Maintain 24-hour on-site support in accordance with service commitments.
* Undertake administrative duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent, or 6 months experience in a formal care/support role with experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues.
* Or 2 years' experience in a formal care/support role with experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues.
* Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months.
* Must have previous experience in administrative duties and be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification.

Formal Care/Support may include caring at home (carers’ allowance) or voluntary work in a formal setting.

* Background check: This is a regulated post and will be subject to a satisfactory Access NI check.
