As the senior pharmacy technician, you'll oversee Dispensaries, Stores, Production Unit, and Pharmacy Computer Services. You'll be part of the Pharmacy Leadership Team, advocating for the profession and shaping service development.
This is a dynamic time to join us, with new automation launching in July 2024 and plans for a modular aseptic unit in Q1. You'll have opportunities to be involved in innovative projects.

Main duties of the job
Support the Assistant Chief Pharmacist - Operational Services in delivering and developing pharmacy services across the Trust, managing teams in:
1. Pharmacy Supply Services
2. Purchasing and Stores
3. Production Services
4. Quality Assurance & Control Services
5. Pharmacy Computer Services
Provide professional leadership and development for the pharmacy technician workforce to ensure efficient pharmaceutical services.

Person Specification
Qualifications: Essential and desirable qualifications listed, including pharmacy degrees, management qualifications, and memberships.
Other: Leadership experience, conflict resolution, driving license, and car ownership.
Experience: Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, supervisory roles, quality improvement, audits, report writing, and policy dissemination.
Knowledge: Current pharmacy/NHS issues, GMP, clinical practices, and interpersonal skills.
