Overview
Permanent, Full Time position for a Swimming Instructor at Lift Columbus, a special school supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), and autism spectrum conditions (ASC).
Location: Lift Columbus, Chelmsford, Essex. Work with class teachers to deliver hydrotherapy and swimming programmes that support learners' physical, social and emotional development. Lead sessions in the onsite pool, set swimming and therapeutic goals, and maintain high health and safety standards.
Salary: £17,662.23 - £18,825.49 per year plus well-being cash plan, pension scheme (LGPS) and additional Lift Schools benefits.
Hours: 29.83 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Immediate start available.

Responsibilities
* Deliver hydrotherapy and swimming programmes in collaboration with class teachers
* Set appropriate swimming and therapeutic goals for learners
* Maintain the highest standards of health and safety during sessions
Qualifications and Skills
* Holds a Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming
* Experience working in a swimming pool environment
* Experience (ideally) with children or young people with additional needs
* Calm, patient, and able to adapt instruction to a wide range of abilities
* Confident in collaborating with class staff and therapy teams
