Job Description
We’re looking for a Print Finisher to join Paragon’s Nottingham site.\n\nAs a Print Finisher / Folder Operator, you’ll be responsible for running folding machines and associated equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and efficiency standards. You’ll manage machine set-up, monitor output, and maintain a safe, clean working environment while keeping production on schedule.\n\nHours: 3-shift rotation, 37.5 hours per week plus 36 hours on nights:\n\n * Monday to Friday: Morning shifts (7.5 hrs)\n\n * Monday to Friday: Afternoon shifts (7.5 hrs, Friday 7 pm finish)\n\n * Monday to Thursday: Night shifts (9 hrs)\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\n * Ensure the correct job, code, and version are set on the machine.\n\n * Obtain “OK to Proceed” from the Folding Cell Leader or Finishing Manager after make-ready.\n\n * Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout production.\n\n * Adjust machine settings to maintain output speed and quality.\n\n * Keep the machine area clean, tidy, and organised.\n\n * Efficiently utilise any machine staff provided.\n\n * Complete all ISO 9001 documentation accurately.\n\n * Pass on all relevant information during shift handovers.\n\n * Report any breakdowns or abnormalities immediately.\n\n * Follow all Health & Safety and PPE procedures.\n\n * Coach and guide colleagues as required.\n\n * Provide cover for other folding machines during absence or holidays.\n\n * Carry out preventative maintenance and complete relevant records.\n\n * Check stock of machine parts and re-order where necessary.\n\n * Alert management if targets are not being met.\n\n * Maintain lean manufacturing standards.\n\n * Comply with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and associated policies.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\n * City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.\n\n * Literacy and numeracy skills.\n\n * Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements in print production.\n\n * Experience running MBO or Heidelberg folding machines.\n\n * Excellent attention to detail and quality control.\n\n * Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently.\n\n * Flexible and results-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement.\n\nDue to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
