We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction team in Torrington, Connecticut. The Project Engineer will support project management efforts and field operations by ensuring the effective coordination of resources, documentation, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation.
* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project milestones are met.
* Prepare and manage RFI's, submittals, transmittals, and change orders.
* Maintain project logs (submittals, RFI's, change orders, etc.) and track project progress.
* Support in procurement of materials and equipment.
* Attend bid walkthroughs and deliver bids.
* Procure permits for projects.
* Collaborate with site superintendents to monitor field progress and resolve issues.
* Assist with project closeout documentation, including as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals.
Qualifications:
* 1-3 years of experience in construction project engineering or project coordination.
* Proficiency in construction software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite).
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Familiarity with construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites in Connecticut as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field ( or equivalent experience).
* Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects.
* OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
