* Location: Staffordshire Children’s Hospital, Royal Stoke site (University Hospitals North Midlands). Outpatient clinics run at Royal Stoke and County Hospital, Stafford.
* Department: Paediatrics – acute paediatrics, paediatric and neonatal intensive care, outpatients, community paediatrics; support to the children’s emergency centre.
* Pay: £93,666 to £126,281 per annum

Job Description
Responsibilities
* Provide general paediatric outpatient clinics with a special interest in epilepsy and neurology.
* Contribute to delivery of acute paediatric care and support services across UHNM sites.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* MRCPCH or equivalent higher qualification
* Fully registered with GMC
* APLS, EPALS or PALS provider
* MBChB/MBBS or equivalent
* Clinical training and experience equivalent to entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT, CESR, or European rights (as applicable)
Desirable Qualifications
* Further Higher Degree (MD, PhD)
* Level 3 safeguarding training
Clinical Experience (Essential)
* Clinical training and experience in general paediatrics equivalent to UK standards; CCT in paediatrics or practicing consultant
* Independent responsibility for clinical care; ability to offer expert opinions (emergency and elective)
* Evidence-based medicine and clinical audit experience
* Interest in Paediatric Palliative Care Medicine
Management & Administrative Experience (Essential)
* Ability to lead, make decisions, and respond to service needs
* Understanding of NHS structure and processes; ability to improve service efficiency
* Experience with clinical audit
Teaching Experience (Essential)
* Experience supervising junior medical staff; commitment to teaching and CME; undergraduate teaching experience
Research Experience (Essential)
* Ability to collect and submit data for collaborative studies and apply research outcomes clinically
