Bilton Veterinary Centre is seeking a dedicated and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an established and well-respected small animal practice in Warwickshire.
Caseload and Experience
We are a large single-site practice mainly seeing cats and dogs, but also rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and occasionally tortoises. The role involves consultations, with at least one day dedicated to surgery weekly, including emergency procedures. Surgeries include routine and specialized procedures like brachy surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, and more, mostly performed on-site.
Practice Facilities
Our spacious practice features five consulting rooms, separate cat and dog kennels, a small furry ward, two sterile theatres, and dental stations. We have invested in advanced equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, tonometry, and more, with plans for a new dental x-ray processor.
Team and Development
Our team comprises 7 Veterinary Surgeons and 9 Veterinary Nurses, with interests spanning orthopedics, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and more. We encourage specialization and continuous learning, supporting interests and certifications. We also engage with local charities and community initiatives.
Work-Life Balance
Flexible working patterns are available, including a 4-day week with varied hours and no out-of-hours duties. Weekend work is on a 1:3 rota until 1:00 pm.
