Head of Facilities and Operations Arena & Events Location: Nottingham City Centre (NG1 1LA) Salary: Circa £50,000 Benefits Keep the show running when the lights go up. Were looking for a Head of Facilities and Operations to lead one of the UKs most dynamic live event and sports venues a fast-paced, high-energy environment where no two days are ever the same. This isnt a desk job. Youll be hands-on, right at the heart of the action overseeing maintenance, event operations and facilities management for a venue that hosts world-class concerts, live shows and professional sports fixtures. If you love managing complexity, solving problems and making things happen under pressure, this is your stage. The Role Youll take responsibility for the safe, efficient and compliant running of all building systems, maintenance, and event operations. Working closely with your Facilities Managers and technical teams, youll ensure the arena runs seamlessly from setup to showtime. Key Responsibilities: Lead and motivate Facilities Managers across maintenance, housekeeping and event setup Manage daily operations for concerts, live events and major sports fixtures Ensure full compliance, safety and sustainability across all systems and processes Oversee PPM schedules, budgets, contractors and capital works Collaborate with event and production teams to deliver smooth, efficient event changeovers Drive a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and accountability About You Youre an experienced facilities or operations professional who thrives in fast-moving environments. You enjoy balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, and you bring a calm, practical approach to managing the unexpected. Essential: Proven leadership in facilities or operations management Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems IOSH Managing Safely (essential) Skilled in compliance, budgeting and contractor management Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Desirable: NEBOSH qualification Experience within arenas, stadiums or large public venues Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards Why Youll Love It Here No two days are ever the same every event brings new challenges and rewards Work in a nationally recognised, world-class entertainment and sports venue Join a passionate, people-focused and fast-paced operations team Competitive salary, benefits and clear progression opportunities Take the lead.
