Our well-respected and established client is seeking a talented, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join their firm as a Compliance Assistant. This role is a part-time position, working 3 days a week in the office. If you have previous experience working as Paralegal or Fee Earner and are looking to strengthen your knowledge and experience within Compliance, this role could be exactly what you’re looking for! Responsibilities: • Updating policies and procedures including AML & GDPR • Dealing with initial responses to complaints and ensuring the complaints process is followed • Providing general admin support within the compliance department and maintaining compliance documentation and registers • Undertaking file reviews and managing the process • Responding to routine compliance queries • Monitoring for and escalating potential compliance issues as appropriate Requirements: • Strong legal background such as working as a Paralegal, Fee Earner or AML Compliance Officer • Good understanding of SRA rules and regulations • Dealing with quality standards such as Lexcel or Conveyancing Quality Standard • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills • Ability to work with confidential information discreetly and professionally • Great time management skills • Self-motivated, outgoing and proactive • Able to work well both independently and in a team • Calm under pressure Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
