Qualifications needed:
1. Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
2. Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
3. Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
4. At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting for an Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor in the Psychiatric Liaison Team, based at Queen's Hospital, Rom Valley Way, Romford, RM7 0AG. This is a well-established post, which is currently vacant. We are keen to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will work alongside two General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr Gavin McKay, and out to recruitment), two Old Age Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr Stephen O'Connor, Dr Gareth Smith), and a General Adult / Diabetes Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr Sally Daly), another Old Age Psychiatry Specialty Doctor, a senior trainee in old age psychiatry and a Foundation Year 2 doctor, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

You will be expected to:
21. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, across Redbridge, Havering, Barking and Dagenham.
22. Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases
23. Provide guidance and supervision to the team
24. Work directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with community old age consultant psychiatrists and specialty doctors in mental health
25. Work alongside 2 Adult Consultant Psychiatrists, 1wte Specialty Doctor, 1wte Senior Trainee, and 1wte Foundation Year Trainee.
26. Develop links already established with the local acute trusts A&E departments and adult services
