Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to support our Restaurant and Bar Managers in overseeing daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, solid operational knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
This role focuses on assisting with team supervision, maintaining food safety and service standards, supporting inventory control, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across restaurant and bar outlets. Previous experience in restaurant, bar, hotel, or catering operations is highly desirable.
Duties
* Support Restaurant and Bar Managers in the daily supervision of food and beverage operations.
* Assist in coordinating restaurant floor service, bar operations, catering, and banquet functions.
* Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to operational standards.
* Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance monitoring.
* Help manage inventory control, including stock checks, ordering, and minimizing waste.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
* Operate and support POS systems (e.g., Aloha POS, Micros POS) for order processing, cash handling, and reporting.
* Support shift management to maintain efficient service during peak periods.
* Assist in monitoring departmental costs and supporting budget targets.
* Handle guest queries and complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.
* Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to maintain quality and consistency of food and beverage offerings.
* Support managers with menu updates, promotions, and special events.
Skills
* Previous supervisory experience within food and beverage, restaurant, bar, or hotel environments.
* Strong understanding of food service operations, bar service, and guest service standards.
* Knowledge of food safety procedures and compliance requirements.
* Experience using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros; confident with cash handling.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
* Good organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to support inventory management and cost control processes.
* Professional, hands-on approach with a commitment to hospitality excellence.
