Mental Health Support Worker – Doncaster
Pay Rate: £12.40 per hour
Shifts: Days & Nights available
Hours: Full‑time & Part‑time
We are currently recruiting resilient, confident, and professional Mental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated mixed team in Doncaster DN4 5LG.
You will be supporting an individual with:
1. Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD)
2. Complex Post‑traumatic stress disorder
3. Obsessive‑Compulsive Disorder
4. Dissociative Seizures
5. In addition to Autism, ADHD, mild learning disability, and cerebral palsy (ambulant)
The role involves working with emotional dysregulation, high‑risk behaviours, and crisis‑prone situations, so confidence, strong boundaries, and a calm, trauma‑informed approach are essential.
Person Specification
We are looking for candidates with:
6. Experience in mental health, ASD, ADHD, trauma, and behaviours that challenge
7. Strong de‑escalation skills and a non‑reactive, grounded approach
8. Ability to remain calm, consistent, and organised under pressure
9. Robust professional boundaries
10. A valid driving licence (essential)
11. Resilience, emotional stability, and confidence
Key Responsibilities
12. Deliver person‑centred support and promote independence
13. Support with daily living tasks: medication, cooking, cleaning, documentation
14. Assist with emotional regulation and maintain structured daily routines
15. Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
16. Support with community access and physical activity (e.g., gym sessions)
17. Liaise with mental health teams, emergency services, and healthcare partners when required
