We’re looking for a Hygiene Manager to take ownership of our site’s hygiene operations, ensuring our factory, equipment, and environment meet the highest standards for food safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do: Lead hygiene operations across production areas, services, and equipment, ensuring compliance with legislation, company standards, and audit requirements (BRCGS, retailer visits, customer technical reviews). Own the site’s HACCP and Food Safety Management System hygiene sections. Build, motivate, and develop a high-performing hygiene team through coaching, appraisals, and training. Drive continuous improvement in hygiene standards, systems, and culture across the site. Manage hygiene schedules, labour planning, KPIs, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and cost control. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, QA, and other teams to align hygiene standards with operational needs. Lead by example in health, safety, and risk management, ensuring all hygiene activities are safe and compliant. What Success Looks Like: Factory hygiene consistently meets or exceeds customer and audit expectations. A motivated, well-trained hygiene team delivering exceptional results. Risks are actively managed, and hygiene operations run efficiently and within budget. Hygiene plays a proactive, respected role in supporting site-wide improvements and product quality. What We’re Looking For: Proven leadership in high-volume food or FMCG manufacturing. Strong understanding of production processes, labour planning, and factory constraints. Excellent coaching, communication, and influencing skills. Practical decision-maker with a passion for people, process, and continuous improvement.
