We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and trustworthy part-time Cleaner/Caretaker at a beautiful site in East Putney (SW15). They will take responsibility for the overall cleanliness, presentation, and day-to-day upkeep of a residential estate comprising three apartment blocks (28 apartments total) and associated communal areas. The role combines cleaning, light maintenance, and site management duties, ensuring a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors.
Please note that this position will require cleaning responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all internal and external communal areas, including stairwells, entrance halls, porches, walkways, and parking bays.
* Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing, as well as monitoring and maintaining bin stores, outdoor lighting, and landscaped areas.
* Undertake routine inspections, record meter readings, replace bulbs, perform minor repairs, and ensure that external contractors and visitors are properly signed in and supervised while on site.
* Keep accurate daily records of completed work, report maintenance or safety issues to the managing agent, and assist with general site management tasks such as monitoring gates, security, and car parking.
* Periodic deep cleaning (including the pool area once reopened), jet washing, and maintaining cleanliness after bin collection days. Seasonal duties such as leaf clearance, weeding, and watering may be required.
* Strong communication skills are essential, as the Caretaker/Cleaner will liaise regularly with residents and the property management company, fostering good relationships and ensuring that the estate is maintained to the highest standard.
Hours: Monday to Friday; 08:00-13:00 (25 hours per week)

Salary: £13.85 per hour
