We are working with a growing business seeking to strengthen its internal operations by introducing a dedicated Office Manager. This is a newly created role designed to support the wider team, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the office, strong administration, and reliable support across HR and operational functions.
This is a great opportunity for a confident, proactive individual with experience in agriculture or construction, who enjoys variety and taking ownership.
Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounts Support
1. Credit control function as advised to include customer reminders and escalation where required
2. Provide support to the Finance function as advised
HR Administration
3. Maintain up-to-date personnel records, training logs, and compliance documentation
4. Manage staff onboarding and offboarding processes
5. Support with holiday tracking, absence management, and policy administration
6. Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance across all records
Office Management
7. Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure efficient workflow
8. Manage stationery, supplies, equipment and liaise with external suppliers or contractors
9. Support operational teams with general administrative tasks as required
10. Champion good communication across departments and act as a central information point for the business
11. Coordinate office meetings & oversee minute-taking
12. Support Directors
13. Provide Holiday cover for the reception
14. Deal with public/customer complaints
Requirements/Experience:
15. Previous experience in a similar Office Manager role
16. Background in agriculture, construction, or a similar hands-on sector
17. Confident communicator able to act as a primary contact for internal teams
18. Strong credit control/finance experience and comfortable chasing debt
19. Strong Microsoft Office skills
20. Proactive problem solving
21. High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise
