Key Responsibilities
* Manage transmission grid infrastructure projects through the public planning process to achieve planning consent.
* Deliver redevelopment and new build projects for high voltage assets, including substations and overhead lines.
* Work alongside landowner engagement teams to secure consents for infrastructure works.
* Take ownership of project delivery from pre‑capital approval through to completion and energisation.
* Produce high‑quality internal reports, papers, and presentations to support project approvals and reviews.
* Coordinate a wide range of activities across internal teams and external consultants (engineering, environmental, communications, procurement, etc.).
* Maintain strong project controls including budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
* Identify and manage risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating when required.
* Manage internal and external stakeholder interfaces, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Essential Criteria
* Degree‑level qualification in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Studies, or equivalent.
* Strong communication and report‑writing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
* Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
