Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Finance Officer on a minimum of 6 months contract. This role is hybrid with 2 days/week in the office.
Main responsibilities:
* To assist in the operation and future development of the client’s corporate debtors (Accounts Receivable) systems.
* To create, monitor and processing of customers, income and cancelations
* To maintain close liaison with service users with a view to continuous improvement of systems and customer satisfaction whilst achieving value for Budget and Financial Responsibility:
* Being fully accountable for managing the client’s resources well and complying with statutory requirements. This includes managing time, avoiding unnecessary waste, reuse and recycle resources to reduce personal impact.
* Monitor financial transactions investigate account variances and deliver within budget.
* Reconcile and control daily income
* Monitor financial performance, update the financial system
Requirements:
* Accounts Receivable knowledge of micro-computing software packages, enquiry packages
* Finance experience within a large organisation
* Previous experience of working accurately within procedures and deadlines in a financial environment Previous experience of providing advice upon those procedures
* Experience of Local Government Finance and ability to adapt to future developments
