12 Months Contract with a Local Authority Summary The Housing Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across tenancy management, estates, housing services, and contract oversight. The post holder will ensure high-quality service delivery, support operational teams, manage complex tenancy issues, and drive improvements in estate management and resident engagement. This role requires a confident, experienced housing professional capable of handling sensitive cases, leading staff, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legislative requirements. Responsibilities Lead on complex tenancy cases, escalations, and sensitive resident issues. Oversee rent management, tenancy breaches, anti-social behavior (ASB) casework, and the serving of statutory notices. Provide expert guidance and support to operational staff managing day-to-day tenancy matters. Handle formal resident complaints, ensuring timely, professional, and customer-centered responses. Ensure compliance with housing legislation, safeguarding requirements, and organizational policies. Essential Experience Required Strong, proven background in housing management at both operational and strategic levels. Demonstrable experience managing complex tenancy cases, ASB, and formal complaints. Experience supporting and guiding frontline housing staff. Ability to work confidently across tenancy, estates, and contract management areas. Essential Qualifications Required Evidence of relevant housing experience and sector knowledge. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Additional Information Working hours: 37 hours per week The role requires DBS.
