We believe the best approach to deterring criminal activity is to understand the vulnerabilities and risk of each location and tailor our approach to effectively reduce risk.
Responsibilities
 * Provide visible deterrence and guard the store floor.
 * Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
 * Assess and identify vulnerabilities and work proactively to minimise risk.
 * Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
 * Manage vulnerable persons with empathy so as not to cause distress.
 * Complete colleague and contractor searches when required in line with customer company policy.
 * Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
 * Submit detailed, legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities; review Job descriptions regularly and amend as agreed with manager.
 * Act professionally, co‑operatively and flexibly in line with the requirements of the position.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be an effective Security Officer you must be a confident communicator, able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity, welcome and patient with customers, and handle conflict professionally.
You must hold a valid SIA licence. Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Employment Terms
Hours: Varied shift pattern – 10:15 – 16:15 with availability for other days. Hourly rate: £12.35.
