Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, technically-minded, and organized Security Analyst to join Monzo's Security team. You will work on infrastructure, application, and information security projects, collaborating with engineers and analysts to enhance our security controls and protect our information assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contribute to security projects across various domains such as identity management and incident response.
2. Participate in the full project lifecycle, from requirements to deployment of security controls.
3. Address security challenges like data protection and emerging threats with practical solutions.
4. Support the development of new security products and improvements.
5. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other teams to embed security best practices.
6. Advise colleagues on security standards and foster a security-conscious culture.
7. Manage access controls, ensuring least privilege principles are maintained.
8. Continuously improve security controls as Monzo grows, maintaining a learning mindset.
Ideal Candidate
* Passionate about security and eager to learn.
* Technically curious with problem-solving skills.
* Basic understanding of security concepts and best practices.
* Experience managing multiple projects and reading technical documentation.
* Proactive, communicative, and a team player.
* Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus, along with security certifications like Security+, CySA+, or CISM.
Benefits & Application Process
Salary: £40,800 - £50,000 + benefits, including flexible hours, remote work options, a £1,000 annual learning budget, and more.
