Job Purpose We are seeking a People Team Administrator to assist the People Team in developing an effective and reliable people function. This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources, Talent and DEI teams in various functions, including onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative tasks. The People Coordinator ensures that all People processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the function and organisation. This role requires strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively, ensuring that all People Team activities are well-coordinated and carried out in a timely manner. Attention to detail, resilience, proactivity, commitment and a positive attitude are all key to success within this newly created role. We seek a candidate who is flexible in their approach, keen to go the extra mile and adept at collaborating with management to ensure all processes are operating efficiently and at an optimal standard. Key Responsibilities Manage HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, processing absence updates and generating contract amendments paperwork. Be a first point of contact when people come to the People Team office. Respond to employee emails and enquiries and provide support on HR-related matters. Coordinate events such as management development training, room bookings, appointments, etc. Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings and coordinating interviews. Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation. Support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment. Organise and coordinate training and development programmes for employees. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Represent Carpenters Group at external events and careers fairs. Take detailed notes during meetings and ensure accurate documentation of discussions and decisions. Experience and Knowledge Proven experience in a people orientated role. Confident, calm under pressure and pro-active in approach. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to manage own workload.
