* Spare parts & tooling: Maintain critical spares, consumables and tooling inventory; raise purchase requests and manage reorder points to avoid stockouts.
* Compliance & safety: Lead safe systems of work including Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO), PUWER inspections, guarding checks and risk assessments; maintain documentation.
* Records & CMMS: Keep accurate service, calibration and breakdown logs (preferably via a CMMS); produce availability/OEE and downtime reports.
* Facilities support: Support services such as compressors, extraction, ovens/booths, conveyors, forklifts and general site utilities.
* Training & handover: Coach operators on basic daily/weekly checks; create SOPs and quick‑reference guides.
What you'll bring (Essential)
* Proven multi‑skilled maintenance experience in a metal fabrication / CNC / automated manufacturing environment.
* Strong fault‑finding across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* Experience with CNC presses/press brakes/panel benders and material handling/conveyor systems.
* Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
* Demonstrable record of building and running preventative maintenance schedules.
* Competent with LOTO and safe isolation; solid understanding of PUWER.
* Comfortable working out‑of‑hours when required to restore production.
* Excellent communication and collaboration with production teams and OEM engineers.
Nice to have (Desirable)
* Exposure to Trumpf or Salvagnini equipment and Safan press brakes.
* Knowledge of powder coating plants/ovens, extraction and curing controls.
* PLC/HMI fault‑finding (I/O tracing, basic program edits).
* 18th Edition (BS 7671) and/or Electrical Appointed Person competence.
* Experience implementing a CMMS (e.g., UpKeep, Fiix) and basic KPI reporting (MTBF, MTTR, OEE).
* Forklift maintenance knowledge and LOLER/Thorough Examination coordination.
* Fabrication/welding skills for minor jig/guard repairs.
