Contract & Benefits

* Salary: £40,000-£45,000 annual equivalent

What You'll Do
Working closely with the Head of Finance and wider leadership team, you will:
* Support the organisation through its pre‑audit period, ensuring audit files, reconciliations, schedules and controls are accurate and complete.
* Deliver timely, accurate management accounts, commentary and variance analysis.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting, supporting financial planning during a busy period of transition.
* Strengthen reporting processes around project‑based income, grant‑funded activity and restricted funds.
* Improve the visibility of financial information for non‑financial stakeholders across programmes and operational functions.
* Support the finance assistants with month‑end routines, reconciliations, and operational finance activity.
About You
You will be a part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, or equivalent) with strong experience in management accounting and month‑end processes. You bring:
* A proven ability to support audits, produce accurate management information, and work efficiently at pace.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful insight.
* Experience within not‑for‑profit, charitable, or project‑based environments (advantageous but not essential).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner with non‑finance colleagues.
* A proactive, hands‑on approach - able to slot into a small finance team during a period of change.
