About the Role

Sous Chef, Hotel du Vin — Winchester. £34,000 per Annum / 45 Hours. Full time, Permanent Contract. Winchester.

Welcome to Hotel du Vin Winchester, the quintessential boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Winchester, Hampshire. The hotel resides in a charming Georgian building, just moments away from Winchester Cathedral and the city’s shops, eateries and attractions.

We offer on‑the‑job training in house as well as opportunities to work with our training provider to offer nationally recognised apprenticeships. This is a place to develop your career in a kitchen that values quality food, teamwork and progression.


Responsibilities

* Support the Head Chef by ensuring the team delivers brand standards in a smooth and consistent manner.
* Demonstrate your skills and develop the team beneath you, ideally having worked at Sous Chef level before.
* Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain high quality with produce you may not have worked with before.
* Contribute to delivering memorable guest experiences through excellent food and service.


Requirements

* Experience at Sous Chef level or equivalent; ability to develop and lead a team.
* Willingness to learn, adapt and uphold brand standards in a busy kitchen.
