Wrexham AFC have an exciting opportunity to join our catering team at the Racecourse Ground, and are recruiting for a Casual Chef.
The post holder will carry out food preparation and food production duties; will be responsible for general running of the main kitchen and undertake all allocated duties ensuring Stadium and legal standards are maintained.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* To help with the delivery of food ensuring that provisions are checked and stored correctly and to assist the supervisors in monthly stock-taking activities.
* To make sure that the kitchen and services areas are kept clean, hygienic, and free from debris.
* To undertake food preparation and the cooking of food to standard recipes as directed by the Conference and Banqueting Manager
* To ensure food is transferred, displayed, and held in the service areas as per the standard operating procedures and to inform supervisors as to the required standard with regards to presentation, portion control and service methods to be used.
* To assist with conferences, executive dining events and other special functions, providing a high standard of catering in terms of food quality and presentation.
Flexibility / Teamwork
* To be prepared to help doing other duties within the department as requested by Conference and Banqueting Manager
* To liaise with other chefs to ensure effective communication is established and maintained and contribute to ideas or ways of improving the catering services which will increase customer satisfaction and profitability.
* To be prepared to be flexible in hours worked, given prior notice, to assist with out of hour events/ functions/ conferences etc.
Equipment / Cleaning
* To undertake general cleaning duties of all areas in the department as required.
* To ensure that all equipment is used in a safe and proper manner and report any faults to the Stadium Operations Manager
* To ensure all cleaning schedules are maintained to the required level and that cleaning work is recorded accordingly.

About The Candidate
EXPERIENCE
* Previous experience of working within a busy hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen.
* Proven track record of producing quality food and catering for large numbers.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Catering Qualifications i.e., City & Guilds Catering/ NVQ Level 1
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
