In this role at Refresco, you will take ownership of key supplier accounts, ensuring accurate reconciliation and resolution of supplier statements and GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) balances. Acting as a deputy for the Accounts Payable Manager in their absence, you will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations within the department. This position is ideal for someone with previous experience as a team leader in Accounts Payable or a senior Accounts Payable Assistant ready to take the next step in their career.

The role:
To have responsibility for key supplier accounts, reconcile and action supplier statement and GRNI reconciliations, and lead the AP Assistants. Act as deputy for the Accounts Payable Manager when they are absent/on leave.
Key responsibilities:
* Work with the Accounts Payable Manager, in ensuring all work required is completed accurately and on time.
* Reconciliation of supplier statements taking appropriate action to ensure the ledger represents a true and fair position in relation to each company.
* Reconciliation of GNRI balances for the ledger ensuring balances are accurate and challenging aged amounts.
* Supervision of the AP Assistants for the ledger supporting with queries and work allocation.
* Ownership of “key” accounts to ensure all amounts are paid on time.
* Drafting of weekly payment runs ensuring that invoices are paid to terms.
* Support the delivery of training to new recruits to the department.
* Any other task as may be deemed necessary from time to time by management.
About you:
The ideal candidate should have experience in accounts payable or purchase ledger, along with proficiency in SAP. While prior leadership or team supervision experience is preferred, it is not essential.
