Construction Teacher or Tutor
Are you a qualified teacher, tutor or instructor of Construction? Could you use your knowledge to deliver practical lessons in a SEMH setting working with students studying BTEC?
Contract details: Immediate start, long term with permanent prospects • £165 - £235 per day • School location: Birmingham • Working with small groups in a very practical environment
The Role
As a Construction Teacher, Tutor or Trainer you will deliver structured, practical lessons to small groups. You will work to the BTEC curriculum, so experience in a school or college setting is essential. You will not just be responsible for teaching the basics but for helping students prepare for the world of work and underpinning skills and health & safety as part of the programme.
The Candidate
You will hold a teaching qualification and have worked in a school or college setting teaching BTEC. You will be keen to continually develop your input in practical lessons that will enable students to continue their development. You will have a track record of teaching and be able to adjust your technique to engage with all students. Insights into apprenticeships and the world of work are a must.
Requirements

* BTEC – You will have in-depth knowledge of the BTEC Construction
* Enhanced DBS – Ideally on the Update Service
* Desire to work with students aged 14+ – With a genuine interest in supporting progress
* Experience working with students in an SEMH or college setting
