Role Overview
As the Technical Compliance Manager you will provide engineering leadership and assurance across the NO Account to support the delivery of fully compliant and optimised asset management, project and maintenance delivery. Demonstrate compliance levels against statutory, legal and contractual obligations through a robust assurance/audit programme and deliver engineer operational excellence through process improvements and innovation in order to satisfy Customer need and deliver profitable sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement compliance programmes to ensure all technical operations meet regulatory, legal, and company standards.
* Conduct site‑self audits and inspections in collaboration with the EUK Central Technical Assurance function to maintain standards and identify areas for improvement.
* Monitor regulatory changes, utilising EUK’s Legal Register as appropriate, and adjust compliance programmes accordingly.
* Provide technical consultancy and training on compliance matters to account staff.
* Collaborate across departments to integrate compliance into all aspects of operations and promote a culture of compliance.
* Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and prepare reports for account management and regulatory bodies.
* Lead investigations into non‑compliance issues, conduct root cause analysis, apply EUK’s ‘Just Culture’ principle, and implement corrective actions.
* Identify, assess and record compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Drive performance improvements throughout the account using data and new data streams.
* Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies and customers on compliance matters.
* Lead the contract‑wide quality and assurance programme.
* Lead health and safety initiatives.
Who You’ll Be
* Extensive knowledge of technical regulations, standards and industry best practice.
* Experience in developing, implementing and managing compliance programmes.
* Proven track record of conducting audits, inspections and assessments.
* Experience in identifying, assessing and mitigating compliance risks.
* Strong multi‑discipline technical background, able to apply technical standards and requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to investigate non‑compliance issues, perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; IT literate (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, Visio).
* Experience delivering projects related to compliance initiatives.
* Track record of driving continuous improvement in compliance processes and systems.
* Leadership ability to lead teams when necessary and collaborate across departments.
Minimum Requirements
* HNC/HND‑Level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or Level 3 qualification with equivalent technical/engineering experience.
* Certified auditor status (or willingness to obtain) or strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and HSE compliance.
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
* Ability to obtain and maintain national security clearance.
Desirable
* Hold IEng professional status (desirable) or a desire to work toward it.
* Authorised Person status.
