Responsibilities Provides recreational leadership and coordination in the development of programs Implements and evaluates programs and services Builds financially sustainable programs Develops internal and external relationships to promote the program Qualifications Minimum one year experience in providing leadership in planning, implementing and evaluating recreation programs in a community based setting Previous experience working directly with seniors or at risk population is considered a strong asset Post secondary education in a related discipline Completed courses in Gerontology, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or Recreation are considered an asset Experience in geriatric programming is considered a strong asset Must be able to work well with people across various generations and socio-economic backgrounds Ability to work well under minimal supervision Must be able to work at all Northwood campuses as required Access to reliable transportation Location Northwood Halifax and Bedford Campus Department Community Centre Schedule Term, Part-Time 40 hour bi-weekly How to apply If you are interested in applying for this career opportunity please click APPLY!
