Job Summary
Due to continued expansion we are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Renewables Manager to join our team, to support in the growth and delivery of our Renewables services, predominantly our Solar projects across both the commercial and domestic sector.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Project surveying, costing, contract review and negotiation
* Project planning including internal engineer resourcing & pre-requisite engineer training/certification
* Pre-start meetings and site surveys
* Maintaining detailed, accurate written and electronic records of all work.
* Project initiation including risk assessments, method statements and H&S procedures
* Coordination with manufacturing for timely delivery of product & materials to site
* Site visits to review status when required, to ensure install works quality, to ensure proper adherence to H&S procedures, to surface risks & issues and to build client relationships
* Report & manage project status
* Ensure project progress to plan & budget
* Liaise between install team, back office technical team and client to resolve technical issues
* Monitor & report project financial status, proactively escalating issues
* Manage installation team members, including performance, well-being & any HR issues
* Responsible for maintaining knowledge of relevant legislation, new products and equipment etc, contribute to the identification, development, evaluation and introduction of new materials, working practices and techniques.
* Lead by example, including role modelling company standards for quality and customer service
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Project management experience in an M&E or similar environment covering domestic and commercial Solar installations.
* Contract management experience in a construction environment.
* Hands on electrical installation experience general & solar
* Site survey experience, including interpretation & mark-up of technical drawings & specifications
* Current knowledge of health & safety regulations, risk assessments, method statements, scope of works documents and safe working practices for construction sites
* Knowledge of EV is desirable
* Project management training/qualification is desirable
* IT literate including Outlook, Word & Excel.
Qualifications required:
* Fully qualified and a comprehensive knowledge of the Electrical industry.
* 18th edition
* AM2 or equivalent
* CGLI 2391
* NICEIC or NAPIT Qualifying Supervisor experience
* CSCS/SSSTS Card Holder
* IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable)
* Level 3 solar qualification
* Battery Storage Qualification
* Extensive supervisory experience in an electrical environment.
* A proven track record of effectively managing cost and maximising efficiency.
* The confidence to challenge processes and procedures.
* A positive attitude and a strong commitment to doing things right
* Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments and areas.
* Previous Supervisory experience within a maintenance and installation environment including testing.
