Salary: £38,958.40 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 1.30pm to 10pm
Location: Clay Cross
What you’ll be doing
This is a hands‑on role at the heart of our branch. You’ll be managing a thriving distribution team, offering a high level of customer service and ensuring that profit and growth of the branch is at the forefront of the business. If you enjoy all things operations, helping develop people, solving problems, and being part of a busy, focused team – you’ll feel right at home here.
Who we’re looking for
Role
You don’t need motor factor experience – we’ll train you. Warehouse management experience is highly advantageous for this role though. We’re looking for someone who:
* Maintains accurate stock levels and controls through real‑time stock taking monitoring processes and monthly adjustment checks.
* Prepares reports and advises management on strategies to reduce cost, improve procedures and maximise efficiency.
* Replenishment levels are achieved daily; branch orders are picked in full within the given SLA’s.
* Manages racking through planning and supports the Stock Coordinators in their role.
* Uses data analysis to plan effectively for inbound stock orders from containers.
* Ensures that the warehouse team follows relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines as set down in Company policies.
* Stays calm under pressure.
* Brings a positive, reliable, “team‑first” attitude.
Experience with MAM or similar software is helpful, but not essential.
Training & progression
We promote people based on attitude and performance, not how long they’ve been here. For example:
* Jordan joined with no experience and is now a Branch Supervisor.
* Hannah moved from retail and is now a Senior Sales Advisor.
Your progression is genuinely in your hands.
What we offer
* Bonus schemes
* Staff discount across SDL shops
* Health Cash Plan (claim back on dental, optical, physio etc)
* Discounts on retail, gyms, travel, entertainment and more
* 3% employer pension contribution
* Company-branded uniform
* 24/7 employee advice line & GP phone access
* Death in Service cover
* Extra holidays for long service
Hours
* 40 hours per week
* Monday–Friday between 1.30pm and 10pm
* 30‑minute meal break each day
We are a friendly, growing business that values what you do.
