Offer description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Children & Young People’s Occupational Therapy Service.

The Fife Wide Children & Young People’s Occupational Therapy Service is a dynamic, quality-driven team dedicated to improving the lives of children, young people, and their families. Our work is underpinned by a commitment to upholding children’s rights, promoting equity, accessibility, and inclusion, and applying the social model of disability to enable participation in meaningful life activities.

We operate within a robust Clinical Governance framework aligned with local and national priorities, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care. Our service embraces innovation, including digital health solutions, to enhance clinical delivery and outcomes.

Responsibilities

* Support children, young people and their families, delivering interventions at universal, targeted, and specialist levels, tailored to population needs.
* Manage a generic caseload of children and young people from birth to school-leaving age.
* Apply excellent clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice across a range of paediatric conditions to support participation and wellbeing.
* Champion inclusive approaches that remove barriers and empower children and families to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

* Strong clinical expertise in working with children, young people and families and a commitment to continuous professional development.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families, schools, and multi-agency partners.
* A passion for promoting rights-based practice, equity, and accessibility in all aspects of service delivery.

You will be joining our supportive and innovative service that operates a robust clinical supervision model and has staff wellbeing at the heart of its culture. Reflective practice and effective decision making is embedded within the service and daily practice.

Benefits and Working Pattern

5/7 working week and flexible working arrangements exist to meet individual and service needs. As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

We offer flexible working and family‑friendly policies and fully support disabled candidates, and candidates with long‑term conditions or who are neurodivergent by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practices.

Show us the real you: Your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically.
