GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in schools in Dronfield (S18). As a Behaviour Mentor, this role provides the opportunity to support pupils in managing their behaviour, building confidence, and achieving their full potential in a safe and structured learning environment.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
* Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to address behavioural, social, and emotional challenges.
* Support pupils to develop self-regulation, resilience, and positive relationships.
* Implement behaviour management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff.
* Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and development.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to provide holistic support.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
* Previous experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
