Position Summary
The Head of Integrated Operations Planning will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of operations for Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG) and Fincantieri Marine Systems N.A. (FMSNA), supporting Executive Leadership and the VP of Integration, Innovation, and Control, by analyzing workloads and facility capacity, workforce readiness, and any related operational needs across multiple shipyards to provide actionable, data‑driven recommendations for executive decision‑making in optimizing cost and performance for both initial and long‑term production efforts.
Domestic and international travel is required.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Planning: Participate in project scope definition, project budgeting and scheduling, and high‑level work sequencing before production begins. Coordinate planning across shipyards as well as project breakdown into modules and systems to ensure proper resourcing, on‑time delivery, and budget adherence while anticipating risks early and providing mitigation strategies to leadership.
* Capacity Planning: Assess workloads and facility capacities and capabilities, workforce readiness, and any related operational needs to position shipyards for successful construction while maintaining balanced workloads. Support enterprise project success by optimizing resources and leveraging data‑driven earned value and data analytics for budgeting, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement.
* Estimating & Scheduling: Review technical specifications and any required engineering artifacts to define the full scope of work, including estimating the cost for required materials, scheduling labor hours that will be integrated into production to ensure projects stay on schedule within the work packages, within cost targets, and risk mitigation for recommendations to the leadership and project teams.
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, leadership within corporate locations, U.S. shipyards, and, as directed, with the Global Company to synchronize production and planning standards across multiple shipyards, supporting enterprise‑wide execution strategies for project success.
Requirements
* Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering artifacts as required for estimating and planning purposes.
* Proficient in project management tools for data‑driven analysis of performance, cost, risk, and other related metrics.
* Experience using enterprise‑wide scheduling and resource planning suites is a plus.
* Strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.
* Strong organizational, time‑management, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor.
* Demonstrated leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company.

Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required; Master's Degree preferred.
* Active Project Management and/or Earned Value Management Certifications is a plus.
* 12 years in shipyard operations planning, production management, or program integration within shipbuilding, naval architecture, or vessel construction required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, reach and type; stoop or kneel; and speak or hear. The position is primarily performed in a quiet, climate‑controlled environment with minimal exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury. When entering the shipyard, there may be exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury.

Pay Range
$140,000 - $180,000
