Job Introduction
As a Bank Health Care Support Worker, you’ll be working as part of the HCRG Care Group Team in our Savernake Inpatient team. You will provide essential nursing support and patient care, and will benefit from the comprehensive package outlined above.
The Health Care Support Worker is an essential member of the multi‑disciplinary team, delivering high standard care for patients and offering support and comfort to family members, friends and carers.
In addition to essential care and support, you will have the opportunity to develop additional skills, including monitoring and recording patient observations, ECGs and phlebotomy.
Savernake Ward provides 24‑hour care, seven days a week, so the ideal candidate will be able to work a variety of shifts.

Main Responsibilities
To work within a multi‑professional team in an inpatient setting, providing, supporting, caring for and treating individuals in accordance with guidelines and protocols identified for the role.
You will be expected to provide a high level of essential care, meeting the needs of patients in the ward. This will include helping to maintain personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
As well as supporting recovery you will promote rehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain as much independence as possible.
