About The Role
As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model by leading with kindness in every aspect of your work. You will support residents with care planning, help ensure residents have choice and independence, assist with nursing tasks under supervision, report accidents, and respond to signs of dementia with wellbeing in mind.
About You
Senior Care Assistants who want to develop their skills and take on more responsibility. HC-One offers a development program to upskill Senior Care Assistants toward Nursing Assistant responsiblities, with a salary increase upon program completion.
Responsibilities
* Assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
* Ensure care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably and uphold resident choice and independence.
* Report accidents or concerns and support residents, including those displaying dementia symptoms, with resident wellbeing as the priority.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma SVQ in Adult Care (or working towards)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health & Social Care as a Senior Carer or similar leadership role, particularly around medicines administration and leading a shift
* Knowledge of person-led care planning and relevant regulatory requirements
* Safeguarding training and ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and to report concerns
