Control & Simulation Engineer, Cambridge
Hyundai Motorsport GmbH, based in Alzenau near Frankfurt, Germany, is responsible for Hyundai's global motorsport activities, primarily for its World Rally Championship program. We are seeking a Control & Simulation Engineer to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist in control software and physical model development and validation for race cars.
* Develop and maintain HIL test systems, including software and calibration.
* Automate test cases on the HIL system.
* Assist in HIL application and testing of control software and hardware.
* Specify test cases based on requirements, system behavior models, and robustness analysis.
* Develop innovative solutions in model-based development for hybrid/alternative propulsion powertrains.
* Manage version control and document results and models.
Qualifications
* Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in functional/physical model development, SIL/MIL/HIL testing, and application.
* Good understanding of car and powertrain control systems (ICE and hybrid).
* Strong knowledge of model-based controls using Matlab/Simulink, Engine Management Systems, and data analysis (Marelli or equivalent).
* Proficiency in debugging C code.
* Experience with HIL automatic testing using SimulinkRT or similar tools.
* Experience in motorsport is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills; fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
