The post holder will work with the multidisciplinary team to produce protocols, to support patients and identify the points where hospital admission is both appropriate and necessary.
Responsibilities
* Having continuing responsibility for the 24 hour management of the ward and delivery of patient care.
* To have responsibility for the line management of ward based nursing staff, Housekeeper, Ward Clerk.
* To promote continuous development in clinical practice and deliver of patient care, encouraging innovation, improvement and appropriate change in service delivery.
* To manage resources within agreed budget.
* To provide a suitable and stimulating learning environment for students and for the ongoing professional development of registered staff.
* To maintain communication networks at all appropriate clinical and managerial levels.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual with managerial skills, passion for improving safety and quality of care for stroke patients, and the ability to lead a team. Excellent communication skills and confidence in providing leadership on all aspects of stroke patient care are essential.
