SEND Lecturer


SEND Lecturer 37 hours per week 8:30am 5pm Employed for 52 weeks per year up to £38,186.75 depending on experience and qualifications

They are an established provider of good quality college and school courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties and emotional/behavioural difficulties. Their full-time courses are designed with their learners in mind, using a range of qualifications. Their school links programme offers learners the opportunity to try a range of vocational courses and aids transition into college.

The Foundation and Pathways Faculty requires a Lecturer to work as part of a team, to deliver a range of high-quality courses from pre-entry to Level 1. The curriculum offer incorporates employability and independent living skills, a range of vocational options, functional English, Maths and ICT, personal, social and communication skills.

About the role:

As SEND Lecturer, a key part of this role will be providing learning opportunities for learners to become skilled in communication, employability and life skills. Your key duties will include:

* Teach on a programme of appropriate courses
* Assess, review and record learner progress
* Maintain course and learner records
* Support learners with progression, employability and independence.

To fulfil the role of SEND Lecturer you will have:

* Experienced teacher with proven experience of teaching young adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and emotional / behavioural difficulties
* Teaching qualifications
* Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and creativeness
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and be skilled in the use of IT
