Overview

Join to apply for the Senior Mental Health Practitioner role at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

In the Oxfordshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services teams we are focused on ensuring young people gain access to the right care in a timely way. We are proud to be developing a needs-led, responsive and accessible service based on the Thrive model.

We're looking for you to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner - you might be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist and have a range of experience.

We are launching an initiative for one year to focus on young people and their families who require assessment and treatment from the Getting Help and Getting More help teams. You would be joining a specific team including a mix of mental health professionals to focus on these young people and their families.

The team would have different working model, combining face-to-face and remote working, with different bases across the county (including Banbury, Oxford, Bicester, Abingdon and Witney). Flexibility depending on where you live would be on an individual basis.

We are looking for enthusiastic clinicians to join the team who enjoy working with others, have a flexible approach to delivering treatment and enjoy a challenge. You will have a clear job plan setting out the expectations and will be fully supervised as well as working closely with the rest of the team for support.

We'll support you with access to supervision and training according to your needs as a clinician.

Role responsibilities

* In this role, you'll deliver generic mental health assessments and risk assessments for children and young people (CYP) open to our CAMHS teams.
* You will work collaboratively with CYP families/other agencies and develop holistic plans of care which are evidence based.
* You'll hold a clinical caseload which consists of providing evidence-based therapies and working with other professionals to meet the needs of children and young people with mental health needs. At present we are achieving this on a hybrid basis with a mixture of office working and working from home.
* For the duration of this role the focus will be on assessment and treatment of young people so you will not be expected to join a duty rota.
* Training requirements can be provided in house.

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides physical, mental health and social care for people of all ages across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and Northeast Somerset. Our services are delivered at community bases, hospitals, clinics and people’s homes, delivering care as close to home as possible. Our vision is that no matter who you are or where you are, you will tell us that you receive: Outstanding care delivered by an outstanding team. Our values are: Caring, safe and excellent

At Oxford Health we offer a wide range of benefits designed to support your career and wellbeing. These include:

* Excellent opportunities for career progression
* Access to tailored individual and Trust wide learning and development
* 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days with continuous service

* Competitive pension scheme
