About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented carpenter to join our team, specialising in the production and installation of bespoke exhibition stands. This is a hands-on role requiring both workshop-based fabrication and on-site construction, ensuring high-quality finishes that reflect our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture bespoke exhibition stands, furniture, and components in our in-house workshop.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create precise, high-quality builds.
* Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
* Carry out on-site builds, installations, and dismantles to agreed deadlines.
* Work closely with designers, project managers to achieve seamless stand assembly.
* Maintain high standards of finish, craftsmanship, and attention to detail at all times.
* Ensure safe working practices both in the workshop and on site.
* Carry out maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing stand components as required.
* Contribute to the overall upkeep, organisation, and cleanliness of the workshop.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a carpenter, ideally within the exhibitions, events, or shopfitting industries.
* Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery, and finishing methods.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists.
* Competence in using woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
* Experience working on-site.
* Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
* Full driving licence.
