About the role We are recruiting a Case Worker (covering maternity leave) to join our Adult Homeless Pathway team in Oxfordshire, supporting people aged 18 who are experiencing homelessness. The impact you will have You will support people to build the confidence and skills they need to live independently. This includes areas such as managing finances, reducing social isolation, accessing essential services, and securing accommodation. No two days are the same. You may: Support someone to access health, housing or support services Respond to individuals in crisis Help people explore training or educational opportunities Build connections with local networks Listen to people’s aspirations and help them take steps towards their goals Your role will make a significant difference to people’s lives and contribute to long-term, positive change. Contract details Contract Fixed term until 31st January 2027, covering maternity leave Hours: 22.5 hours per week, across 3 days per week, two of which will include a Tuesday and Thursday. Location: Office based in Wolvercote, travel across Oxfordshire. Salary: £25,666–£27,981 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience. Salary shown is the full-time equivalent. Closing date: Thursday 18th December Interview process: We will be holding introduction calls as suitable people apply. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 30th December. About you You are someone who is compassionate, patient and committed to supporting people to move forward. People may describe you as a good listener who is willing to take time to understand others’ needs. Essential experience or knowledge Experience in at least one of the following: homelessness, mental health, social care, alcohol/substance use, or supporting people with offending histories Understanding of housing applications, benefits, tenancy responsibilities or budgeting (or a willingness to learn) Ability to use basic IT systems such as Outlook and Word Awareness of the causes of homelessness and a commitment to providing person-centred support Other requirements You will support clients across Oxfordshire, with your main base in Wolvercote A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required What we offer in return Connection Support is committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive and ensuring everyone is treated is valued, treated with respect and has a positive experience.
