A high-performing, private equity–backed professional services organisation is preparing for a potential liquidity event and is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Reporting Manager to support its IPO readiness and external reporting functions.
This role is highly hands-on and ideal for a qualified accountant with strong technical reporting experience, exposure to external reporting frameworks, and a background supporting IPOs, exits, or other major transaction events. You will play a central role in elevating reporting standards and ensuring the business is investor-ready.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and investor-grade quality.
* Prepare for IPO readiness, enhancing reporting processes, documentation, and governance structures.
* Coordinate and produce statutory accounts, disclosures, and technical accounting papers as needed.
* Support the creation of exit- or deal-related financial materials, including data packs and investor documentation.
* Work closely with external advisors, auditors, and PE investors on reporting queries and technical matters.
* Strengthen financial controls, reporting timetables, and month-end accuracy.
* Contribute to deal workstreams, leveraging experience working on a major transaction or IPO process.
* Operate in a highly hands-on capacity to meet tight timelines and ensure high-quality output.
* Partner with FP&A, commercial finance, and senior leadership to support broader financial initiatives.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* 4+ years’ post-qualified experience, ideally with strong technical accounting and financial reporting exposure.
* Experience in IPO readiness, external reporting uplift, or supporting a major deal/fundraising event.
* Strong understanding of external reporting requirements (IFRS/UK GAAP).
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, investor-grade financial documentation.
* Confident working with auditors, advisors, and private equity stakeholders.
* Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, PE-backed environment.
* Sector background is agnostic—reporting experience across any industry is welcome.
* Able to be London-based 3 days per week.
