In this role, the successful Transport Planner or similar will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of Transport Assessments/Statements as well as travel plans and travel plan coordination. In addition, you will also be responsible for customer, client and contractor liaison, including national authorities as and when required. On top of this, you will be responsible for ensuring all assigned tasks are delivered on time as well as quality checking works completed by junior staff members. Also, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate technical documentation is kept and updated at all times, presenting technical data/drawings when required. Finally, you will be responsible for assisting in site appraisals/visits when necessary, as well as supporting junior team members in developing their technical knowledge. The ideal Transport Planner or similar will have a background within the Highway Design/Transport Planning/Civil Engineering/Geographical Sector or a related field. You will also have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software. On top of this, you will have strong numerical and analytical skills. Ideally, but not essentially, you will have a prior knowledge/understanding of AutoCAD. Also, you will have good interpersonal/communicational skills. Finally, you will hold a full, valid UK driver's license.
